Peptide Matrix Water™ 10 ml

What is Peptide Matrix Water™?

Peptide Matrix Water™ is a premium stabilising solution for professional reconstitution of complex lyophilised peptides. It is not a simple solvent, but an advanced protective matrix with a multi-component stabilising system that maintains an ideal environment for the most sensitive molecules — from GLP-1 analogues to HGH fragments.

It belongs to the category of peptide solutions and is Peptology's recommended premium solvent — wider use and greater stability of the dissolved peptide.

Why it is our No. 1 choice: unlike plain water, which offers mainly sterility, Peptide Matrix Water™ actively protects the structure of the peptide — it regulates pH, limits denaturation and aggregation and extends the life of the solution up to 60 days.

Available in a 10 ml pack (premium multi-use formula), for research/laboratory use only.

Formula: 10 ml (4-component system)

VOLUME

10 ml premium multi-use formula, laboratory grade.

TECHNOLOGY

pH buffers + mannitol + surfactants + preservative.

STABILITY

Up to 60 days in a refrigerator at +2 °C to +8 °C after reconstitution.

4-component protection technology

BUFFER SYSTEM

NaH₂PO₄ / Na₂HPO₄ maintain a stable pH — against chemical degradation.

MANNITOL

Protective agent that reduces denaturation of the molecules.

PEG 600 + TWEEN 80

They improve solubility and prevent aggregation.

m-CRESOL

A strong preservative that limits microorganisms.

Their combination gives three benefits: prolonged action, minimal risk of loss (less denaturation) and solution stability even over long working cycles. A universal choice for most protocols.

Technical specifications

Comparison: Peptide Matrix Water™ vs Bacteriostatic water vs Acetic acid

In the category of peptide solutions there are three main solvents. Peptide Matrix Water™ stands out with active, multi-component protection and the greatest stability.

Peptide Matrix Water™ (this page)
★ RECOMMENDED BY PEPTOLOGY
Bacteriostatic water Acetic acid 0.6%
pH environment ~7 (actively buffered) ~7 (neutral) ~3 (acidic)
Protection against denaturation Yes (mannitol) No Partially (via pH)
Prevention of aggregation Yes (PEG 600 + Tween 80) No Limited
GLP-1 / GIP peptides Recommended Yes Not recommended
Stability after opening ~60 days ~28 days ~14 days

Peptide Matrix Water™ is the recommended choice for most peptides — wider use and greater stability. Bacteriostatic water is an economical neutral standard, and acetic acid 0.6% a specialised choice for poorly soluble peptides. The comparison is based on the characteristics of the formula.

Which peptides it is ideal for

For peptides with good water solubility, the economical bacteriostatic water is enough, while for molecules that require an acidic pH, acetic acid 0.6%.

Peptide Matrix Water™ 10 ml: which strength

Peptide Matrix Water™ is available in: 10 ml.

How to use

  • Disinfect the stoppers with a 70% alcohol wipe before each puncture
  • Add the Peptide Matrix Water™ slowly down the wall — not onto the powder
  • Wait 10–15 minutes, swirling gently. Do not shake (foam → denaturation)
  • The solution should be clear, without particles
  • Calculate volumes (max. 3 mL per vial) with the peptide calculator

Storage

  • Before opening: in a cool place, away from direct sunlight
  • After opening: in a refrigerator at +2 °C to +8 °C; dissolved peptide up to 60 days
  • Freezing: not recommended — freeze/thaw cycles degrade the peptide
  • Do not use if there is cloudiness, discolouration or particles

Laboratory protocol — reconstitution, research protocols, storage

Standard protocol, applicable to all research peptides in the Peptology catalogue. For the concentration of the solution (mg/mL) per vial, use the peptide reconstitution calculator.

The 60-second protocol

2. RECONSTITUTION

The solvent is added to the wall of the vial, without agitation, then wait 10–15 minutes.

3. CALCULATION

Calculator → concentration in mg/mL

4. STORAGE

+2 °C to +8 °C, up to 60 days with Peptide Matrix Water

Quick reference

Parameter Value
Form Lyophilised powder
Solvent Peptide Matrix Water
Volume for reconstitution 1–3 mL — 3 mL maximum (capacity of the standard vial)
Storage before reconstitution Room temperature, protected from direct light (refrigeration is not mandatory)
After reconstitution Up to 60 days at +2 °C to +8 °C with Peptide Matrix Water

What you will need

Precision pipette

Calibrated, 100–1000 µL — for accurate measurement of the volume of solvent added to the vial.

70% alcohol pads

Two pads — to disinfect the peptide vial and the solvent vial.

Peptide Matrix Water

Stabilised solvent for lyophilised peptides. Why this one.

Five rules for reconstitution

✅ Correct ❌ Wrong
Disinfect the stoppers and the work surface with 70% alcohol, work with gloves Working without disinfection
The solvent is added slowly down the wall of the vial Direct jet onto the powder — foaming and denaturation
Light swirling between the palms Shaking — foam, on which the peptides denature
Wait 10–15 minutes at room temperature Mechanical mixing or heating
Visual inspection: clear, without particles Using a cloudy or coloured solution

Calculating the concentration

⚠️ Maximum 3 mL of solvent. The standard vial does not allow a larger volume — do not exceed it during reconstitution.

  • Concentration (mg/mL) = mg in the vial ÷ mL of solvent
  • Volume per sample (mL) = amount per sample (mg) ÷ concentration (mg/mL)
  • 1 mg/mL = 1 µg/µL · 1 mL = 1000 µL

👉 For any vial and solvent volume — use the calculator. It calculates the concentration (mg/mL, µg/µL) and the volume per sample (mL, µL).

Storage

BEFORE RECONSTITUTION

Room temperature, protected from direct light, in the original packaging. Refrigeration is not mandatory.

AFTER RECONSTITUTION

+2 °C to +8 °C, up to 60 days with Peptide Matrix Water. Discard the remainder after this period.

FREEZING

Not recommended. Freeze/thaw cycles degrade the structure of the peptide.

Four mistakes to avoid

1. Shaking for “faster dissolution”

Foam = denaturation. Only gentle swirling between the palms.

2. Unsuitable solvent

For the stability of the peptide structure, use only a sterile, purpose-designed solvent — Peptide Matrix Water is recommended.

3. Ignoring slight cloudiness

If it is not completely clear = the sample does not meet the criteria for work.

4. Removing it from the refrigerator “for an hour or two”

Short exposures add up and jeopardise stability.

Research status: All Peptology products are intended exclusively for laboratory use and research. They are not pharmaceutical products, have not been approved for human or veterinary use and do not replace medical advice. The protocol described is standard laboratory practice for working with lyophilised peptides.

For which peptides, and how do I store it?

For most, especially sensitive ones: GLP-1 /GIP agonists and triple agonists ( Retatrutide ), HGH fragments and IGF-1 . Store in a cool place; after opening in a refrigerator at +2 °C to +8 °C — up to 60 days.
